The two most popular printing methods are Dye Sublimation and Silk Screen Printing.
So, what is the difference between Sublimation and Screen Printed Lanyards?

Sublimation VS Screen Printing



DYE SUBLIMATION Printed Lanyards

If you have a complicated image and/or want to cover the whole lanyard
with your design then Dye Sublimation Printing is the correct method.

• With Dye Sublimation the ink “dyes” the white fabric lanyard.

• There is no limit to the number of colours printed.

• No matter how many colours are printed on the lanyard, the cost is the same.

• The lanyard colour is dyed to match the Pantone® using 4 colours (CMYK).

PROS
Good for complicated designs,
the whole of the lanyard is printed (dyed).
Ideal for images and detailed highly detailed designs.
Extensive colour options.

CONS
Pantone® colours are not as accurate as Screen printing.
Not as sharp as screen printing.

Sublimation Print Screen Print

SILK SCREEN Printed Lanyards

If you have a simple design and/or need to match your brands
Pantone® colour/s then Silk Screen Printing is the correct method.


• With Silk Screen Printing, the ink actually sits on top of the fabric.

• The print process starts with your Pantone® selected colour lanyard.

• We supply either 1 or 3 colour printed lanyards.

• Each colour ink is mixed to match your Pantone® colour before it is applied.


Screen Example 1

PROS
Good for simple designs as it sits on top of the
fabric making it crisp, sharp and clear.
Ideal for company logos and text.
Pantone® colour accurate.

CONS
Limited to 3 printed Pantone® colours.
Can only print simple designs.
